  Fine dining in a completely surprising location with no pretentiousness. The most luscious steak you will ever eat, but everything else is also worthy of declaring "best ever". The Longview Steakhouse is a gem worth seeking out.

  We take photos of all our eat-out-meals. But... we forgot all about taking pictures, after the one of the salad starter, because the view took our breath away, the staff were entertaining and the food was so good we couldn't do anything but lick our lips, and chow down. This is one of the only times I got my steak as rare (blue) as I like it and ... and .... it was flavoured right to the core, not just the outside. How do they do that???
  
  My husband had rack of lamb that was one of the best he's ever had in his life. His salad was great with an interesting and delicious.
  
  All over there are beautiful sculptures (carvings) but one in particular is carvings of horses crowded and climbing up the base of a huge tree. I wanted to buy it, but my husband draws the line here.
  
  The sitting area near the entrance was a bonus even though we didn't have to wait in it for a table (we made reservations for 5 PM to beat the rush on a Thursday). There were the most beautiful pink lilies on the coffee table that smelled heavenly and lovely paintings on the walls to ogle over. The bathrooms were immaculate. To me that defines a quality establishment.
  
  Do yourself a favour. Take a leisurely, scenic drive and tickle your palette. You won't regret it.

  Best steak I've had in my life. Some of the best food Ive had in my life. And if the food wasn't enough of a draw the service is beyond amazing Sam and his family make every guest feel warm, welcome and with lots of laughter. A must visit.

  It took one time dining here before it became my favorite restaurant period. The staff are absolutly wonderful, the service is impeccable and the food is truly the best. The best steak I've ever had, and continues to be. I go a few times each year and the quality of everything never diminishes. It's always superb every time I go. I tell everyone and anyone if you have not been here you need to go. I wish I could give it more than five stars.
